From Smelter to Suburb
REMC assisted in the planning, excavation, treatment, and off-site disposal of over 50,000 cyds of contaminated soils from the Flagstaff Smelter Site in Sandy, Utah. Today, the site is home to the beautiful neighborhood of the Granite Oaks Redevelopment at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon (LCC).

At the Sierra Zinc Mine and Mill site near Colville, Washington, REMC directed the excavation of over 88,000 cyds of contaminated tailings and mine wastes and capped the open impoundment with 106,000 cyds of clean cover materials.

REMC helped to make way for the picturesque Montage Deer Valley Resort by managing the excavation of 434,000 cubic yards of soil and mine wastes from the Daly West Silver Mine.
