Contaminated Site Investigation and redevelopment

XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence Soil Screening)
REMC owns and has extensively used a Field Portable X-Ray Fluorescence Meter (XRF) to analyze the concentrations of metals in real-time on numerous sites. REMC has used the XRF for projects ranging from initial site assessment to guiding excavation equipment during CERCLA remediation projects. Real-time analysis provides substantial cost and time savings and allows decisions to be made in the field without having to wait for laboratory analytical results. REMC performs statistical comparison with analytical laboratory data to determine site- specific calibration curves.
CERCLA
CERCLA - Our staff have been involved in the CERCLA program since 1989. Our experience spans site investigation (PA/SI, EE/CA and RI/FS), Risk Assessment, Remedial Design/Remedial Action, Time-Critical Removal Action, and Non-Time Critical Removal Action projects. Our site investigation services range from real-time metals analysis via portable XRF technology, to laboratory sampling of surface water, groundwater, soil, air and biological media, and evaluation of human health and ecological risks. We have provided our CERCLA expertise in a variety of settings ranging from alpine environments above 9,000 feet in the mountain of Colorado and Utah to inner-city locations. We can assist our clients in regulatory negotiation, project management, and site closure. Our CERCLA projects include sites in California, Colorado, Missouri, Montana, Utah and Washington.
