From Moonscape to Meadow

REMC - Post #3 - Sierra Zinc.png

This #TransformationTuesday, we'd like to share a remediation project we implemented at the Sierra Zinc Mine and Mill site near Colville, Washington. REMC directed the excavation of over 88,000 cubic yards (cyds) of contaminated tailings and mine wastes and capped the open impoundment with 106,000 cyds of clean cover materials.

Before, heavy metals in the mine waste posed a threat to the health of residents, visitors, wildlife, and the Columbia River. Remediation and revegetation of the site by REMC has since eliminated these risks to human health and the environment.

Just check out what a difference it made! We helped Sierra Zinc transform from moonscape to meadow with our years of experience in environmental remediation.

Let us know if we can do the same for you today!
